One thing I like about living in DC is that Native people are always coming in for work and we get to have some heartwarming visits. I am grateful I get to visit with so many old friends and make new ones every week.
A couple of weeks ago, I was able to spend sometime with my tribes newest council member. Kris Hohag, is one of our young leaders who went away from our reservation to pursue his eduction and has recently returned to work with our native youth.
Then tribal elections came around… he was elected to our council and helping to set a great example for our native youth. I was lucky enough to get a chance to talk & interview him for our Brightside of Rez blog. I hope you enjoy meeting him.
